Snow Valley Assistant Instructor - Volunteer Program (Ages 14 & 15)

Snow Valley’s Assistant Instructor training course is for 14 and 15 year-olds looking to get their foot in the door with our Snow School and start their journey towards becoming a fully-certified Instructor.

Snow Valley Assistant Patrol - Volunteer (Ages 15 to 17)

Snow Valley’s Assistant Patrol Volunteer will be trained to patrol the hill to ensure that all guests are skiing or riding according to the "Alpine Responsibility Code" and Snow Valley policies. Provide safety risk management and other services for our staff and guests. Assess, stabilize and evacuate sick and injured patrons in the area of operation. This program is open to individuals aged 15 to 17 years of age as of November 1 on annual basis.

Snow Valley Assistant Volunteer Program (Ages 14 +)

If you have a passion for snowboarding and/or skiing, and volunteering in your community, we need you!

Snow Valley wants dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help us with our programs and events. Whether you’re a student, parent or retired person; we have a great opportunity for you.

What a Snow Valley Assistant Volunteer does
  • Positively reinforce the Values & Services offered at Snow Valley

  • Provide quality Customer Service when working with the Snow Valley Team

  • Volunteers may have opportunities to assist in the following roles: School Groups, Rental Shop, Ski Buddy, Snow Host, or Special Events – Some specific experience is required in some roles.

Volunteer Requirements
  • Available to commit approximately 6 hours per month until March.

  • Willing participation in orientation and training and be willing to participate in additional training and meetings as required.

  • Be able to effectively communicate in English (Fluency in other languages is considered an asset).

  • Undergo a Police Records Check - Organizations have a legal and ethical responsibility to provide a safe environment for clients, staff and volunteers. A Police Records Check is one of the screening tools we use to ensure the safety of clients, staff and volunteers.

    • Volunteers who work in a position of trust with children, seniors or persons with a disability will need a Police Records Check along with a Vulnerable Sector Screening
