Assistant Instructor Training Course

December 9, 2023
9am – 5pm

UPDATE Oct 24: Snowboard Assistant Instructor positions are still available. Ski Assistant Instructor positions are full.

What is the course and who is it for?

Snow Valley’s Assistant Instructor training course is for 14 year-olds looking to get their foot in the door with our Snow School and start their journey towards becoming a fully-certified Instructor.

This two-day course teaches the fundamentals of assisting with beginner and novice lessons, on-hill safety and class management principles, and guest service. This program is intended for those who are interested in eventually completing their CSIA/CASI Level 1 certification and seeking future employment as a certified Instructor.

What’s in it for me?

Participants who complete the course will be eligible to apply for an Assistant Instructor Volunteer Position with Snow Valley’s Snow School for the 2023-24 season. This opportunity provides excellent experience, training and development.

Assistant Instructors who fulfill their volunteer commitments to Snow Valley will be eligible for the reimbursement of their CSIA or CASI level 1 course fees once they are ready for full Instructor certification.

Note: completing the Assistant Instructor training course does not guarantee that you will be hired as an Assistant Instructor.
