Snow Valley has become the lay down area for Stage 2 of the Terwillegar Drive Expansion project. This means we no longer have access to our usual overflow lot and means that parking is even more limited than usual this season (and likely for the next several seasons as well).

Please consider carpooling, ridesharing, or being dropped off. If parking, make sure to park close to your neighbours.

Do NOT park on the road – it is a busy part of an active construction site and you also risk being ticketed and/or towed. There is a recently-expanded city lot (on the left on your way down the hill) that you can park at if the main lot is full.

The City of Edmonton website has more details on this stage of the construction here and there is an open house on December 5th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at St. Thomas More Church (210 Haddow Close), for you to learn what’s coming up with the project in 2024.

In the meantime, our parking lot will be very busy – even more than usual.

We have lost over 50 parking spots, which will definitely put a strain on the already crowded lot. What can you do?

  • Car pool, ride share, or get dropped off when possible
  • Take your time parking (and snug up close to your car neighbours) to ensure as many people can fit in a row as possible
  • Use the upper parking lot, located before the Rainbow Valley bridge if there is no spot in the main road
  • Avoid parking on the road and double-parking at Snow Valley.
    • The road is a busy part of an active construction site
    • Safe, 2-lane Emergency Vehicle access must be maintained
    • The lots and road are city run and maintained; illegal parking may result in fines/and or being towed

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we navigate this exciting infrastructure upgrade project and its impacts on our operations.
