Volunteers Needed August 23-26

The Edmonton Symphony is making their home at Snow Valley Ski Club for the next few years as their usual outdoor venue at Hawrelak Park undergoes renovations.

We are looking for some Access Control volunteers during the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s summer performance series here at Snow Valley from August 23-26.

Minimum age to volunteer is 18+.

Volunteer and receive 1 Free Area Pass for the Aerial Park or Ski Hill (exp. Dec 31, 2023) for each shift volunteered.

We want to hear from you!

Snow Valley is a not-for-profit organization, and we are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help us with our programs and events. Whether you’re a student, parent or retired person; we have a great opportunity for you.

What a Snow Valley Summer Volunteer does:

  • Positively reinforce the Values & Services offered at Snow Valley
  • Provide quality Customer Service when working with the Snow Valley Team
  • Volunteers may have opportunities to assist in the following roles
    • Campground Ambassador | Engage with children and adults to lead fun, family-friendly activities in the campground
    • Event Assistant | Help out the team and engage with the public at various fun events on the hill.
    • Food Runner | Deliver food to the campground or Aerial Park Tower placed through the online app
    • Event Security | Watch the event and the crowd! Some upcoming events, such as “The Symphony at Snow Valley”, will need some folks to keep an eye on the beer gardens. (18+, ProTect required)
    • This list is not exhaustive, and there will likely be many other unique opportunities and roles to volunteer as this season

Volunteer Requirements

  • Willing participation in orientation and training and be willing to participate in additional training and meetings as required.
  • Be able to effectively communicate in English (Fluency in other languages is considered an asset).
  • Undergo a Police Records Check – Organizations have a legal and ethical responsibility to provide a safe environment for clients, staff and volunteers. A Police Records Check is one of the screening tools we use to ensure the safety of clients, staff and volunteers.
    • Volunteers who work in a position of trust with children, seniors or persons with a disability will need a Police Records Check along with a Vulnerable Sector Screening
