This fan-favourite U-13 Terrain Park event is back again for 2020! 

Saturday, February 8th, join some talented kids as they show off their moves on the terrain park for a panel of judges!

$0 for Park Squad participants

Register now in person at Snow Rider – the retail shop located behind Guest Services! 

People without a season pass will require a lift ticket to participate.

All Weekend long, use #SVFamilyDay in your Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter photos to be entered to win a $100 Snow Valley Gift Card!! To be eligible to win, photos must be taken at Snow Valley, must be shared on a public profile (ie. not hidden or private), and be shared in a post (ie. not a story). We can’t wait to see your #SVFamilyDay Photos!! 

Family Day Radar Run – Sponsored by ATS

Family Day Monday from 1 pm – 3 pm, race your friends, family, or yourself down the hill past our speed trap! Speed past our sign and see what max speed you can clock up! You also get to take home a speeding ticket with your max recorded speed.

The “speed area” will be cordoned off from the hill with room to stop at the bottom. Participants should be comfortable on skis or a snowboard and able to stop safely. 

All participants must fill out this waiver: Family Day Radar Run Waiver 2020 to be able to participate.  It will also be available at the hill. 

High Horse Coffee

We are delighted to be selling High Horse Coffee beans now! We love local, and we love that High Horse Coffee is roasted right here in Edmonton. This delicious coffee has been here at the hill all season, but you can now take it home with you now! To celebrate, High Horse will be giving out coffee and hot chocolate samples on the hill all day Monday. Say hey, grab a coffee, then pick up a 12oz. bag of beans at concession for $17. 

Scavenger Hunt

Our scavenger hunt is back! On Monday, this kid-friendly scavenger hunt will have kids out exploring the hill for a prize! Pick up your scavenger hunt card in Snow Rider and have fun exploring the hill!

Final Servus Food Bank Friday Of The Season

Thank you, everyone, for the record-breaking year this year! We have raised well over 7,000 kgs of food this year (final count tbd)! We are excited that so many of you came out to join us this season with your friends and families.

Join us on March 20, 2020 for the final Servus Food Bank Friday of the season! Enjoy a $10 lift ticket with each food bank donation and $15 rentals with a second one.

Tent Event is BACK!

Back for 2020 – the Snow Valley Tent Event is your chance to save BIG on ski and snowboarding equipment from local shops and our own rental/retail shop.

The Snow Valley Tent Event will be happening October 17, 2020 at the Snow Valley Ski Club.

What is the Snow Valley Tent Event?

Snow Valley Tent Event is a huge outdoor sale at Snow Valley Ski Club, where you can score some of the best possible deals on brand new gear, as well as rental sell-offs.

There will be several local shops selling breand new gear at blowout prices. Shops at the sale this year include The Easy Rider, Rumor, and Out Of Bounds

Our rental/retail shop Snow Rider will also be selling off lots of brand new gear, as well as used rental skis, boots, and snowboards! 

You can expect to find lots of:

  • Skis
  • Snowboards
  • Helmets
  • Goggles
  • Kids skis
  • Kids boots
  • Poles
  • Gloves
  • Toques
  • Base layers
  • And more! 

There will also be some local food trucks hanging out in case you get hungry! Poutine World and Go Nuts For Donuts will both be on location around lunchtime. 

The event will be going all day, October 17 from 10am to 5pm.  

Masks are required when at the hill. Shops and amenities will be properly spaced and hand sanitizer will be available.

2019 Ski Swap

Welcome back!

It is time to upgrade your equipment at Snow Valley’s Ski Swap!

October 23rd and 24th, come sell your old gear, pick up some new and new-to-you gear, and get a head start on the season!

Some of Edmonton’s favourite Ski and Snowboard shops will be in attendance with gear to add to the ski swap.

*INVENTORY UPDATE* Be aware that due to the recent spike in demand for ski and snowboard gear, there will likely be less equipment at the sale than in past years. We will update our social media channels following the consignment intake period to give an idea of inventory levels before the swap. Stay tuned! 

Consignment:

NEW: Speed up your consignment process with online registration!

  • Public Consignment can now be done online prior to bringing your equipment on Saturday Oct 23.
  • If you register your consignments online before arrival, you will be able to join a fast-track line.
  • You can still bring consignments down without filling in the online form, but it will be a slower process.
  • Please use the form at the bottom of this page to register your consignments beforehand. You can save/return to the form as many times as needed to update your listings.
  • Please print out your completed consignment form and bring it with you when you drop off your consignment equipment.
  • The online registration form will close at Midnight on Thursday, October 21.

Cost to consign each item (Saturday): $2/item

Entrance Fee: $2 per person or $5 per family. All admission proceeds go to Snow Valley’s Team Scholarship Fund.

Sunday, October 24
9 am to 3 pm – Ski Swap!
6 pm to 8 pm – Cheque/unsold item pick-up  

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

In accordance with Alberta provincial restrictions, Snow Valley’s Ski Swap will be implementing 1/3 fire code capacity at all times within the Lodge. Masks are required in all indoor areas and physical distancing will be in effect. This applies to the consignment day as well as the sale event. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Other Information:

  • Please note that we cannot accept straight skis or used helmets for safety reasons. All items are consigned at consignor’s risk. Skis with bindings older than 10 years may not be accepted.
  • Snow Valley Ski Club and Snow Valley Racing Association are NOT responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
  • All cheques and unsold items MUST be picked up Sunday between 6pm and 8pm – NO EXCEPTIONS. Equipment and cheques not picked up during that time will be donated to Snow Valley Ski Club and Snow Valley Racing Scholarship programs.
  • We can’t wait to see you there! Remember to show up early on Sunday for the best selection.

Proceeds from this annual event support the Snow Valley Racing Association and the Snow Valley Staff Scholarship Fund.

Triple Down Terrain Park Series

2022 Triple Down Terrain Park Series

Triple Down Terrain Park Series returns for 2022!  Rabbit Hill on January 9th, Snow Valley on February 6th and Sunridge on March 6th.

This all-ages, all-genders, all-abilities competition is your chance to ride a different park and make new friends while riding!

The prizes are great, vibes are fun, and accessibility is high!

What you need to know

Registration:
Registration happens the day-of, from 9:00am – 11:00am. Look for a table set up indoors, on the main floor of the lodge!

A waiver of liability MUST be filled in by all participants before competing.  Save time and complete the Event Waiver ahead of time here (will open in new window).

Pricing: 
Competition Lift Ticket: $20 (not required for Snow Valley season pass holders)
Competition Entry Fee: $20
