COVID-19 UPDATE – December 10

To our valued guests,

in light of the enhanced restrictions announced by the Province this week and in the interest of public health and safety, Snow Valley will be implementing changes to some of our operations. All of these changes will go into effect as of Sunday, December 13th. This includes the temporary suspension of all group lesson programs.

We believe these are the necessary and responsible actions to take in order to do our part to help bend the curve.

GROUP LESSONS

Effective Sunday, December 13th, group lesson programming will be suspended. Lessons for Thursday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th will go ahead as scheduled. Snow Valley will re-evaluate the situation in early January and will make a decision at that time whether or not to resume group programming for the winter session.

All affected programs will receive a credit to their account in the value of the missed lesson(s). This credit can be used towards any product or service at Snow Valley Ski Club or Snow Valley Aerial Park. Full Season programs will receive 1 week’s credit until we know more. We ask for your patience as Guest Services processes the credits. All sales for future multi-week group lessons are paused until further notice.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons will still be offered for members of the same household only. Guests who already have private lessons booked for students not residing in the same household will be contacted by Snow Valley for rescheduling.

FOOD SERVICES

We are considering our options for service and will announce further information over the next few days. There is a possibility that indoor food service will be temporarily unavailable starting Sunday, December 13th.

Our outdoor High Horse Coffee Hut will remain open during the holidays, weather permitting.  We are still taking Food Bank monetary donations at the Hut and thank you for your support.

INDOOR CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS

Access to the Lodge will be restricted to the ground floor only. Please take advantage of the picnic tables provided and our deck.  We also encourage guests to bring their own food and eat in their vehicles or tailgate in the parking lot. Warming up will have to be in your vehicles as well; please come dressed to stay outside for the duration of your stay. Washroom access will still be provided on the main floor of the Lodge.

Access to Guest Services, Snow Rider and Rental Shop will continue, but with 15% capacity restrictions. No backpacks or bags of any kind or changing in the Lodge will be permitted.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation with these new temporary measures and we look forward to when we can resume normal operations for all of our guests.
