2017-18 SEASON PASS SALE Begins Today!

With a bit of a stutter step, we’re off and running!

Snow Valley Ski Club has kicked off the annual Season Pass Sale, however just not “on line”, at the moment.

Please call 780-434-3991 and make your purchase and book your lesson programs over the phone.  Operators are standing by…seriously!

What’s NEW?

Warm Up To Winter (New Fall Session Format)

All Fall Programs are now three weeks in length beginning in December.  If the last two seasons are any indication, that will be perfect timing.  If the 5 previous opening days before 2015-16 are any indication, we’ll have lots of time to get out there and play before programs begin.  You could also book a private lesson if you can’t wait…

Park Patrol

Park Patrol is for those wanting to learn how to use the terrain park and complete tricks under control and safely.  Available for both skiers and snowboarders it is offered in separate sessions or a full 10 week course running January to mid March.  All sessions are 2 hours long so there’s lots of time to learn and get to know everyone.

55+ Lessons

A full season program running each week at 1:30 pm is tailor-made for those able to get out during the day and get some turns under the direction of a CSIA ro CASI certified instructor.  A great way to meet new friends or get back together with current ones!

365 Family Pass

Focusing on the success of Snow Valley Aerial Park this summer and the ease of a winter season pass to access the lifts, we’ve created something special for the family.  The all new 365 Family Pass.  At just $999.00 plus GST, a family of up to five (under same restrictions as a ski club family season pass) will get access to Snow Valley Ski Club all winter, followed by access to Snow Valley Aerial Park for the entire 2018 season!  Each pass will have unique artwork, individual family member’s photo, and be valid from Opening Day 2017 until the Aerial Park closes in October of 2018.

Any way you look at it, 2017-18 is already shaping up to be a great season and it’s only AUGUST!

Simon the Snow Leopard and Friend

Simon’s looking forward to seeing everyone back on the slopes!

February 4th is CSP Day: World Record Snow Angel Attempt

On February 4, skiers and ski patrollers at Snow Valley Ski Cub will take part in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for making the most snow angels at the same time in multiple locations. The current record is 15,851. Up to 100 ski hills and resorts across Canada will be participating in the attempt at 11AM MST.

Be sure to register at 10:30 am in front of the Lodge.

The effort is being held as part of Canadian Ski Patrol Day, a day that honours the life-saving work undertaken by the 4,500 volunteer ski patrollers providing advanced first aid and rescue services at more than 220 ski areas across Canada. Currently, 58 volunteer ski patrollers provide first aid and medical services to skiers and snowboarders at Snow Valley.

“Canada’s ski patrollers are Canada’s guardians on the snow,” said Canadian Ski Patrol president and chief executive officer Colin Saravanamuttoo. “Helping to break the record for most snow angels is a great way for the skiing and boarding community to celebrate the people who look over them on the snow,” continued Saravanamuttoo.

The Canadian Ski Patrol was first established in 1941 to organize and train a first aid and rescue group to patrol ski hills. Today, the CSP is Canada’s largest volunteer-based first responder organization. In the past 76 years, hundreds of thousand Canadians have volunteered for and received advanced first aid training from the Canadian Ski Patrol.

“Some of these volunteers have put their lives at risk to help keep our skiers and boarders safe,” said Snow Valley “It’s important for us to take part in Canadian Ski Patrol Day and show our gratitude for these amazing people’s hard work and dedication.”

Canadian Ski Patrol – key facts and numbers:

  • Hundreds of thousand volunteer ski patrollers since 1941
  • 4,500 active ski patrollers in 2016
  • More than 220 ski resorts serviced by the Canadian Ski Patrol
  • An estimated five million Canadians are skiers or snowboarders
  • Up to 100 ski resorts taking part in the attempt
  • Snow Valley welcomes on average 185,000 skiers and snowboarders each year
  • The longest-serving ski patroller at Snow Valley has been serving for over 30 years
